Sacraments Infant Baptism Preparation Program: Parents who are seeking Baptism for Children who are newborn up to 6 years old participate in the Infant Baptism series of 2 class sessions. These classes are scheduled periodically thorughout the year. Once the classes have been completed, the baptism is celebrated at the Mass of your choice on the weekends that have been designated for the Sacrament of Baptism. At least one parent must be a registered member of the parish. Prior to the actual Baptism there will be a rehearsal meeting. Expectant parents are welcome, and encouraged to attend the classes prior to the birth of thier child. Contact Fr. Ramon for information about infant baptism. Baptism for children over the Age of 7: Children who are over the age of Seven who wish to receive the Sacrament of Baptism will meet with Laura Stanger the Children and Family Life Minister on Thursday Evenings at 7:00 p.m. to learn about the Catholic Faith. We will gather to Break Open the Word and learn more about all that this wonderful gift has to offer. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. The special thing about being Baptized after the age of Seven, is that you will recieve the Sacrament of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil liturgy. YOU will be involved in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) but it is adapted for children.Please contact Laura Stanger 425-823-0787 if you are interested in this journey. Baptism of Adults: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Sacrament of Reconciliation:Celebrated Saturday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the reconciliation room in the chapel, or by appointment. Contact Parish office to schedule an appointment with Father. Sacrament of First Reconciliation (Confession, penance) (Children at or about the age of 7 must have this curriculum before they begin their journey to the Altar for the Sacrament of Eucharist). First Reconciliation Sacramental preparation is a family focused opportunity. We provide parents the currculum and then ask parents to attend monthly sessions with their children. Child care is provided for younger siblings. Sessions are scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday nights and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday mornings. We do the same session twice for you convience. If Friday night works well one month and Saturday mornings works better the next come to which ever fits best for you. We will begin First Reconciliation/First Eucharist preparation sessions for the 2010-2011 year in September. In the event we do not have a priest present we will celebrate a word and communion service. If a funeral is celebrated at the parish we may not have the 9:00 service but will have it later in the day and encourage you to join us in this celebration. Please consult the bulletin or calendar of events for specific dates. Eucharist is Celebrated on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. and Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. (Child care is available in the parish nursery during 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.) First Eucharist (Communion) Sacrament where we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus in the Mass. It will be celebrated again in the 2011-2012 school year. Adult Confirmation Sacrament of Marriage- Marriage Preparation Convalidation of Marriages Annointing of the Sick- This Sacrament is celebrated the First Friday of the month at 9:00 a.m. Mass. However if someone is seriously ill please call the parish office 425-823-0787. If it is after hours, and the individual is in the hospital, please call Eastside Hospitals Catholic Chaplains Service at 206-748-1500 and the priest on call will meet with you. Vocations- Please contact Father in the office if you are discerning a call to the priesthood or religious life. There are many resources available for you through the Archdiocese of Seattle and Father will point you in the right direction.
