Bridge Ministry for Persons with Disabilities
This yearly December event is sponsored by our parish. Parishioners, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, CKCC clowns, musicians invited to add to the festive atmosphere. 2011 Date is 3 December.

Esperanza International
Esperanza 2011 treks are complete. 35 member "Mature trek" began Vern Endres home for Jose and Ana in Morita. Their kids all helped and since they lived in Arizona for 7 years, they spoke English. WOW, that really helped since adult trekkers don't have much Spanish. Young Adult worked in Lomas del Valle on 2 homes. There was the usual overload of picking, jack hammering, and digging for this powerful group of 18. At this same time, the Goodwin's 2nd annual group was hard at work making blocks, too. High School group of 31 worked in both Morita and Lomas. They poured floors and roofs, finished Vern's home, prayed, played, and lived in our wonderful community at Posada. Continued blessings to this amazing parish family for the support in this, our 20th consecutive year of building homes and community in the outskirts communities of Tijuana.
Senior Single Saturday Suppers at SJV. December 3 is an exception and all are invited to help with the Bridge Ministry dinner on Dec and stay for fellowship after. Our chairperson group is Cheryl Alvear, Carolyn Bertsch, Joan Riibe, Jeannie Solomon. Our leaders would like to thank ALL THOSE VOLUNTEERS who come early, set up, clean up and generally have fun doing it together.THIRD SATURDAY of the month after 5:00 Mass will be our dinners followed by a movie, game night, or? Brand NEW Water Access Now not for profit has been established by parishioners Bob Maher & Jan Kline. We will continue to implement with Catholic Relief Services iin Ghana. SJV and CRS have hosted 52 people in treks to Ghana since 2006. A trek for 2012 will be led by Bob Maher and will include Fr. Kevin Duggan and a delegation from Mary Queen of Peace. We have a deep sense of awe in witnessing how CRS manifests God's love to all people based on 'need not creed'. CRS surely gives hope to a world in need.
